Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Sotek LLC, a North Dakota limited liability company ("Sotek", "we", "us"), for your use of FurFlex at furflex.io. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use FurFlex.
FurFlex is independent from Hevy
FurFlex is made by Sotek. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Hevy or its developers, and “Hevy” is a trademark of its owner. FurFlex connects to your Hevy account through Hevy's public API using an API key you provide. Hevy only issues API keys to Hevy Pro members. Your Hevy account itself is governed by Hevy's own terms. If Hevy changes or withdraws its API, parts of FurFlex may stop working.
Not medical advice
FurFlex is a training analysis tool, not a medical or healthcare service. Its analytics, strength rankings, AI coach replies, programs and photo feedback are for information only. They are not medical advice, and no doctor, physical therapist or certified trainer reviews them.
Talk to a doctor before you start or change an exercise program, especially if you have an injury, a medical condition, are pregnant, or have been inactive. Stop exercising and get help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. You decide how you train, and you train at your own risk.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use FurFlex.
- You sign in with links or codes sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for activity under your FurFlex account.
- Give accurate profile information. The analytics, rankings and coach depend on it.
- One person per account. Don't share your account.
Your Hevy connection
By connecting a Hevy API key, you authorize FurFlex to:
- read your workouts, exercises, routines and body measurements from Hevy, and
- create routine folders and routines in your Hevy account, but only when you press Save to Hevy on a program.
Saved routines count toward any routine limit Hevy applies. Keep your API key private. If you think it has been exposed, regenerate it in Hevy and update it in Settings. You can disconnect Hevy at any time in Settings.
The AI coach
The coach runs on AI models provided by Anthropic. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Check any program, load, volume or exercise suggestion before you use it. Photo feedback is a rough visual impression, not a body composition measurement or a health assessment. Strength rankings are estimates based on published strength standards, not measurements of a real population.
Plans and billing
- Free: one import of your Hevy history, and the Dashboard and Rankings built from it as of the date of that import. The free plan doesn't sync again after that import, and reconnecting Hevy only re-imports data up to that date.
- FurFlex Pro: adds the AI coach, programs you can save to Hevy, body tracking and progress photos, exercise history, and ongoing sync. Billed monthly or yearly.
- Sotek Suite (where offered): includes FurFlex Pro plus the other Sotek apps named on the plans page when you subscribe.
Stripe, our payment processor, bills paid plans. You'll see the price before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing → Manage billing in the app, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then move to the free plan.
We'll email you at least 30 days before a price increase. The new price starts at your first renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before then. Prices don't include taxes unless stated.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a limited time and you keep access meanwhile. If it still isn't paid, the subscription ends.
Payments aren't refunded. When you cancel, your membership runs until the end of the period you've paid for. Charges made by mistake are reversed, as described in our Refund Policy.
Usage limits
Every AI coach reply costs us to run, so paid plans include a monthly coach allowance. The Billing page shows how much you've used as a percentage. Longer replies and program design use more of it. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month (UTC), and unused allowance doesn't carry over. When it runs out, the coach stops, and it may stop partway through a reply. The coach is also limited to 5 messages a day, and each conversation has a maximum length, after which you start a new one.
We may change these limits. If we reduce them significantly, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access anyone else's data, or try to get around sign-in, plan limits, usage limits or security measures;
- scrape, overload, probe or disrupt the service;
- upload photos of anyone but yourself, photos you don't have the right to share, nude or sexually explicit photos, or any photo of a person under 18;
- use the coach to produce anything unlawful or harmful; or
- resell or redistribute the service.
Your content
Your training data, profile, photos, conversations and programs stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them, and to send them to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only to run FurFlex for you.
Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue FurFlex entirely, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and stop all renewals.
Ending your use
You can stop using FurFlex at any time, and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period. To use the time you've paid for, cancel in Billing first and delete your account after the period ends. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, doesn't pay, or that the law requires us to act on. If we close your account for a breach of these terms, there's no refund.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, FurFlex is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that synced data will be complete, or that you'll get any particular training result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sotek isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost data, or injury resulting from training you do based on the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or overrides consumer rights you have where you live.
Indemnity
You agree to cover Sotek's reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from content you upload or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects your rights, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use FurFlex after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't, cancel and stop using the app.
Governing law
North Dakota law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes exclusively to the state or federal courts in Cass County, North Dakota. Before filing a claim, both sides agree to try to resolve it informally by contacting the other.
General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between you and Sotek about FurFlex. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer your account or these terms. We may transfer them if the business is sold or merged.
